Laser Cut Wall Art Crystal Palace

This delicate piece is created using the innovative technique of laser cutting. The Crystal Palace window, sourced from historical photographs, features in this very original artwork. Emma uses the laser to intricately cut into plywood, then builds up the respective layers to create a beautiful 3D relief.

The crystal Palace was originally built in Hyde park, London, in 1851 to house the Great Exhibition. It was then reassembled on Penge Common, in 1854, after the exhibition and remained there until it was lost to the fire in 1936.

This incredible piece of Architecture has been celebrated in great detail by Emma to create this laser cut wall art which is then collaged onto a surface of digitally printed block colour, using the finest inks and card stock, before being mounted in a white box frame.

This is a lovely piece of wall art for any architecture fan and anyone who loves London. The neutral colours are fresh and vibrant and compliment the natural wood of the laser cut relief. It will be a distinctive addition to any home.
